Are you ready for the next installment of the DeCicco’s Beer: Meet The Owner series?! We sure are, and we’re pumped to announce that we’ll be hosting Zack Kinney, co-founder of Kings County Brewers Collective in Bushwick, Brooklyn!

Founded in 2016, KCBC became the first brewery to operate in that neighborhood in over 40 years. Before prohibition, a section of Bushwick was known as Brewer’s Row, with 14 breweries operating in as many blocks and producing 10% of the beer in the US. Fast forward to today, their team of 30+ rock stars on Troutman Street skillfully brew and package a wide variety of styles that are distributed to 11 US states and 5 countries around the globe.

Over the years, they’ve also grown an incredible friendship and partnership with Segal Hop Ranch based in Grandview, WA. Late last year, John Segal and his team released a new experimental hop called Zumo that KCBC used to make a small, brewery-only batch of west coast pale ale in January. That bright, citrusy crusher flew off their taps so fast that they decided to brew it again! We will be one of a limited number of establishments receiving a keg of this perfect summer sipper and it will be on tap that night alongside some other delicious suds.
